It is with profound love and gratitude that our family celebrates the life of Sara González. Born in Valle de Santiago Guanajuato, Mexico, Sara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence touched five generations. Sara passed peacefully surrounded by the love she poured into the world throughout her remarkable 94 years.

Born with a gentle heart and a courageous spirit, Sara lived a life defined by faith, family, and unwavering devotion to the people she cherished. She was married for 59 years to her beloved husband, Rodrigo Raya, with whom she built a home filled with laughter, music, and the warmth of family gatherings that became the foundation of generations to come.

Sara is lovingly survived by her children: Guadalupe Gomez, Florentina Raya, Rosa Raya, Raymundo Raya, Maricela Raya, and Carlos Raya, as well as her extraordinary legacy of 32 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Rodrigo Raya Jr., whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Sara found peace in her garden, tending to her flowers with a tenderness that reflected the way she cared for her family. A devout Catholic, she prayed the rosary daily and carried her faith with her in every step. She loved animals, especially birds, and could often be found singing rancheras, including her treasured favorite, Dos Gotas de Agua, a song that connected her to her father.

Her adventurous spirit was evident even in her youth—swimming across rivers, riding horses, and living life with strength and fearlessness. Yet it was her heart that defined her. She cared for countless nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always offering her love without hesitation. The laughter of children brought her joy, and the presence of family was always her greatest blessing.

Sara González leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured: a family united by her love, memories rooted in her warmth, and generations who will carry forward her strength, her faith, and the beauty of her spirit.

She will be forever loved.
She will be forever remembered.
And her presence will live on in every bloom, every song, and every heartbeat of the family she built.

Rest in Peace, Sara. Your light continues in all of us.
